Book tickets and tours →Akropoli is between Syntagma and Syngrou-Fix on line 2. Two of its three exits are on the east wall of the Acropolis Museum. From the station, walk west along the pedestrian street Dionysiou Areopagitou, then take the first street on the right, Theorias, to the main entrance.
From Thissio station, on line 1, walk west to Apostolou Pavlou, turn left towards the south and then left again into Theorias. From Plaka, climb the steep street Mnisikleous and turn right into Theorias.
The main entrance is on the west slope. There is also an entrance on the south slope, at the corner of Dionysiou Areopagitou and Thrasyllou, which leads to the Theatre of Dionysus and is useful if you come from the Museum.
From the airport you can take metro line 3 towards the centre of Athens: check the destination of the train, because some stop earlier. Then continue by metro to Akropoli station. The airport also has taxis.
The main entrance is on the west slope. The north slope has a lift, about 300 metres from the exit of the site, that brings you up to the plateau north of the Erechtheion. It is for people with reduced mobility and for single parents with two or more infants, so plan ahead.
The south entrance, near the Theatre of Dionysus, can be used in a wheelchair, with a companion recommended.
Take line 2 (red) to Akropoli station. From there walk west along Dionysiou Areopagitou to the main entrance.
